At The Top
It’s a two way tie between Texas’ QB Arch Manning and Notre Dame QB, CJ Carr. Both Manning and Carr are coming off of underwhelming seasons that saw both the Longhorns and Irish miss the playoffs. With a down year now behind both of them, the only way for each of them to go is up.
Hoover The Hoosier Follows In Mendoza’s Footsteps
This is a great spot to take Josh Hoover in his first season under center for Indiana. Those who enjoyed Mendoza throwing for the Hoosiers last season will enjoy Hoover, as he’s coming off of a top-20 season throwing the ball, having gone for 3,472 yards and 29 passing touchdowns. Systematically, he is a near perfect fit, and it should show right away.
Buckeye Connection
Bettors can't go wrong betting on either Julian Sayin or Jeremiah Smith’s Heisman odds. Smith has posted over 1,200 receiving yards and 11+ touchdowns in each of his first two seasons and could very well break both of those stats in 2026, which would certainly send him to New York as a finalist.
As for who is throwing Smith the ball, Julian Sayin had a spectacular first year starting season with 3,610 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and an 88.4 QBR. All of which were top-10 in the country.
Sayin has the surrounding core to up his numbers even more, which would put his name in contention as well.
