ATLANTA – This is the last week of Weekday CUSA games this season, and it comes to an end with a three game slate between Tuesday and Wednesday. Kennesaw State and UTEP kick things off on Tuesday, while Jacksonville State vs. Middle Tennessee and FIU vs. Missouri State cap things off on Wednesday.

Kennesaw State Continues Undefeated CUSA Run Strong

Kennesaw State has been an absolute wagon in Conference USA play, having gone 3-0 to this point, and they now have a cakewalk matchup against a UTEP team that has arguably the worst QB situation in the country.
Getting more into Kennesaw State, they’ve won five straight after starting 0-2 on the year and have covered a -9.5 spread in three of those games. They’ve also covered their set game spread on college football sportsbooks in four straight games.
As for UTEP, they are 3-4 against the spread this season, however, four of their five losses this season have all come by a 10+ point margin. Also, going back to their QB situation, they’ve switched between Malachai Nelson and Skyler Locklear all season, who have combined for 1,563 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

While this could seem like a tough ask, Middle Tennessee has quietly been one of the better 1-6 teams on paper in CUSA. At least in comparison to Jacksonville State.
It’ll be the defense that keeps Middle Tennessee in contention in this one. Surprisingly, Middle Tennessee allows the fourth least amount of total offensive yards per game to opponents in the conference at 376.9. That includes 234.1 passing yards and 142.7 rushing yards. Both of which are top-3 in the conference and ahead of Jax. State.
Looking at their numbers against the spread, Jacksonville State has covered just once in their last four games while Middle Tennessee has covered in their last two.
