Bet On Ohio State Before It’s Too Late: Big Ten Title Odds

  • Ohio State and Indiana are overwhelming favorites to meet in the Big Ten Conference championship.
  • Oregon has just one loss on the season, but has three more ranked opponents in their next four games.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Conference championship season is approaching and the Big Ten boasts the current top two teams in the country. The question is can Ohio State and Indiana hold on to their respective spots to clinch a spot in the conference championship game, or does anyone have a shot to overtake one of the two?

2025 Big Ten Championship Winner Odds

  • #1 Ohio State Buckeyes -150
  • #2 Indiana Hoosiers +130
  • #21 Michigan Wolverines +2500
  • #6 Oregon Ducks +2800
  • #25 USC Trojans +7000
  • Iowa Hawkeyes +15000

The Big Ten conference title is a two team race according to college football prop betting sites with Ohio State and Indiana as the two clear favorites.

The Buckeyes have been the unanimous #1 team in the country ever since defeating Texas in Week 1 and have shown no signs of relinquishing that title any time soon, winning every game by multiple scores besides the Longhorns.

They get to face sub .500 Purdue, UCLA, and Rutgers before their season finale against Michigan, so there is a high likelihood that Ohio State will finish the season with one or fewer losses.

Indiana has also made it through the meat of their schedule and made it look easy for the most part, beating their only two ranked opponents (Illinois and Oregon) handily.

The Hoosiers have 4-4 Penn State, 2-6 Wisconsin, and 2-7 Purdue remaining, so they should be in position for a conference title game appearance as long as they take care of business.

Michigan (7-2) needs one of Ohio State or Indiana to lose at least two of their last three games, which is looking highly unlikely.

Oregon sits at 7-1, their only loss coming against the Hoosiers, but unfortunately for the Ducks, three of their last four games come against ranked opponents.

They are not completely eliminated yet, but the odds of them winning out in addition to either of the top two teams dropping multiple games are slim to none.

USC and Iowa are in the same boat at 6-2, but they are scheduled to play each other two weeks from now, meaning only one of them can stay alive in the race that they are already trailing in.

Plus, Iowa faces Oregon this week, so that will add to the chaos as well.

The Top Two

Assuming both Ohio State and Indiana win out and clinch spots in the title game, who would have the upper hand?

Historically speaking, the Buckeyes have had no problems handling Indiana, leading the all-time series 81-12-5, including victories in each of their last 30 meetings.

Indiana lost to Ohio State in 2020 as the #9 team in the country and again last season as the #5 team in the country, while Ohio State was 3rd and 2nd in each of those games.

However, their current #2 slot is the highest the Hoosiers have been ranked in program history.

Both teams are in the top ten in yards per play (Indiana at 6.8 and Ohio State at 6.7), while Indiana is #1 in points per play at 0.605 and Ohio State is 13th at 0.521.

Ohio State has the best defense in the country statistically, leading the nation in both points and yards allowed per play. Indiana is 4th in points allowed per play and 20th in yards allowed per play.

With the two teams being so similar statistically, it is hard to pick against such a consistent historical trend, in addition to being the reigning national champions.

At -150, this may be the best line that bettors will find for Ohio State in college football futures.
