BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Only six teams remain undefeated in college football this season, and some have stronger cases than others to stay undefeated, while others can be counted out.
With just six 7-0 and 8-0 teams remaining college football prop betting sites are offering odds on each of them to stay undefeated for the rest of the regular season. The Ohio State Buckeyes has the shortest odds to do so, while the Navy Midshipmen have the longest odds.
Odds For Teams To Stay Undefeated In Regular Season
- Ohio State -250
- Indiana -210
- Texas A&M +225
- Georgia Tech +500
- BYU +950
- Navy +5000
Can Ohio State Finally Hurdle Michigan?
The Buckeyes should be favored the rest of the way, barring any setbacks or injuries that pop up. The only game, though, that should be in question and that is circled on every Ohio State fan's calendars is their last game of the season against the Michigan Wolverines in the Big House.
Ohio State is riding a four game losing streak against their biggest rival. For the sake of the rivalry, at the time of writing, it has been 2,157 days since Ohio State last beat Michigan.
Hoosiers Have The Strongest Case
Indiana should have no issues cashing their odds to remain undefeated. Their remaining four games consist of three teams that sit below a .500 record in Penn State, Wisconsin, and Purdue.
The only downside to the rest of their schedule is that three of the four games will be played on the road, including at Penn State and their in-state rival, Purdue. Indiana could very well be double-digit favorites in each of the four games.
Aggies Prove They Can Hang
This is where things start to get interesting on college football sportsbooks as Texas A&M has proven time and time again this season that they can win big in different scenarios. Their only ranked matchups this season have come on the road against Notre Dame and LSU, and both in prime-time situations.
Over their last four games, they have two more ranked opponents in #19 Mizzou in Week 11 and #20 Texas in Week 14. South Carolina and Samford make up the rest of their schedule.
The Aggies have a strong chance to be favored against the rest of the field here, as they have a higher ranking offense than all of them.
Georgia Tech Comes Down To Last Game
The Yellow Jackets undefeated season will likely come down to their final game against the Georgia Bulldogs in what could be a top 10 ranked matchup.
They should have no problems coming out of their final three ACC games against N.C. State, Boston College, and Pitt, who have a combined 11-13 record.
Georgia holds a 72-41-5 record against Georgia Tech and has won their last seven meetings against them.
BYU Gets Tested On The Road
Many will look at BYU’s 8-0 record and look past the fact that their opponents have combined for just a 27-35 record, which includes four games against teams that are at least two games below a .500 record. They are coming off of a decent two-game stretch against #23 Utah and Iowa State.
In their four remaining games, though, they’ll meet #13 Texas Tech and #17 Cincinnati, both on the road as well.
Luck Not In Navy’s Cards
This is not the time to bet on Navy to finish their season undefeated. Of any team on this list, they by far have the toughest remaining schedule. It consists of a 7-1 North Texas, 5-2 #12 Notre Dame, 6-2 South Florida, 7-1 #25 Memphis, and the Army/Navy game to finish the year.
