BOULDER, Colo. – Several eyes will be on Colorado this season to see if they can continue the hype train with Coach Prime at the helm, even without Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders on the field.
Unfortunately for the Buffs, college football prop betting sites do see Prime and company taking a significant step back this season. That goes for all of their odds, including National Championship, Big 12 title, win total, odds to make the CFP, and Kaidon Salter’s Heisman odds, indicate that.
Colorado Football Odds 2025-26
- National Championship: +30000
- Big 12 Championship: +2500
- Regular Season Win Total: 6.5
- Odds To Make CFP: +10000
- Kaidon Salter Heisman Odds: +9000
Last season at +15000 preseason odds to win the National Championship, it marked their lowest starting odds on college football sportsbooks to win the title since before 2001. Now, heading into the 2025-26 season, their odds are sitting at +30000 just before the season starts. This is their worst starting point since Deion Sanders took over as coach. Colorado has won one National Championship back in 1990.
Their odds to win the Big 12 at +2500 are the exact same preseason odds as they were last season. In school history, they’ve never won a conference title. They’ve only been to one conference championship, which came in the 2016 PAC-12 title game. They finished in fourth place in the Big 12 in 2024, which was their first year in the conference.
Unlike the rest of their odds on the board, Colorado’s regular season win total has been trending in the right direction. They’ve gone over their set win total in each of their last two seasons. Their 6.5 win total is also the highest set win total since 2017 and the highest under Coach Prime.
Colorado has never made it to the college football playoff since the committee began selecting teams back in 2014.
Although Kaidon Salter’s Heisman odds are towards the upper half of the board, they lack the competitiveness of the rest of the top contenders. The only two Heisman winners to come out of Colorado were WR Rashaan Salaam in 1994 and WR/CB Travis Hunter in 2024. Hunter won with +5000 preseason odds.
