Castellanos, Kromah Headline Best FSU Props vs Stanford

  • Odds on Tommy Castellanos to throw fewer than 0.5 interceptions (-110 odds) seem smart with his playstyle and potential for being pulled early.
  • Despite only scoring one touchdown over six games, the increase in workload for Ousmane Kromah and the ability to break away have his +110 odds to score as a wise choice.

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Rumors surrounding the injury to Tommy Castellanos against Kent State are starting to come to light. Seen limping and hobbling during a few drives against the Miami Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Panthers, Castellanos might not be at 100%, despite claiming he is.

With this, it might be the best time to fade Castellanos in a game where the Florida State Seminoles are 18-point favorites on the road against Stanford.

While probable on the injury report, FSU may limit Castellanos's snaps if the Noles get up big early. There are even calls on social media to start freshman Kevin Sperry, though many are against the idea.

Best Prop Bet For FSU and Tommy Castellanos

Having thrown five interceptions this season, Castellanos threw two against Miami and two against Virginia the week prior. While he's thrown an INT in three of the six games played this year, it's wise to assume the under (0.5 at -110 odds) is the play here.

In games where Tommy has not thrown an interception, he's done so on 48 passes. In games where he has thrown an interception, he did it with 90 passes thrown.

As volume tends to be his issue, an early exit should bode well for those backing the FSU's QB college football props, who tends to throw many low-risk bubble screens and jump balls to 6'6" receiver Duce Robinson.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Ousmane Kromah

The true freshman who scored 55 touchdowns in high school has yet to score a rushing touchdown on the collegiate level. But, he's showing flashes of success, breaking off large gains against pretty much every opponent and having found the end zone from a 43-yard reception against East Texas A&M.

Longest Rush By Ousmane Kromah By Game

Opponent Longest Rush
Alabama 14 Yards
East Texas A&M 20 Yards
Kent State 16 Yards
Virginia 23 Yards
Miami 7 Yards
Pittsburgh 22 Yards

Collecting 25 carries over the last three games (16 in his first three), Kromah is getting more opportunities.

With an over-under at 54 points, sportsbooks with CFB props assume a Noles victory of about 36-18. At four-five touchdowns scored for FSU, expect Kromah to be one of them, especially if Castellanos gets yanked in the third.

Kromah has only +110 odds to score a touchdown, so the payout isn't massive. However, he's the fifth person posted on Florida CFB betting sites behind fellow running back Gavin Sawchuk, Castellanos, Robinson, and Micahi Danzy.
