  • Recent trends suggest the over is the play on Kaidon Salter props for passing yards but Utah's defense says bet the under.
  • CFB sportsbooks have the rushing total for Wayshawn Parker vs Colorado at 44.5 yards.
  • Dallen Bentley has crushed the over (36.5 yards) on the season as the Utah tight end.

SALT LAKE CITY - For the CFB chase game on Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes travel to Utah at a near two-touchdown underdog against the Utah Utes.

In 14 matchups, the Utes were the favorite in 13 of them, often by 10-20 points. Though the Utah has the upper hand (11-3 straight up), Colorado has covered in eight of the games.

Hard to handicap, looking at the best college football player props today may be the way to wager on the Colorado vs Utah game.

Prop #1: Kaidon Salter Under 174.5 Passing Yards

The best prop bet on Kaidon Salter vs Utah is his passing yards. At 174.5 yards, he surpassed this mark in three of his last four games. While he's still rushing the ball about 10 times a game this season, his 24.5 passing attempts have allowed him to open up defenses through the air.

Fun Fact: Salter has also scored a rushing touchdown in every game this season except two weeks ago vs Iowa State. There are +140 odds on Kaidon Salter to score a touchdown vs Utah.

It will take Salter's running game to mess with Utah's defense, who has been elite against the passing game this year.

Utah Passing Defense Stats

Stat Amount Ranking
Passing Play Percentage 42.6% 17th
Passing Yards Allowed 155.0 7th
Completion Percentage 54.8% 7th
Pass Attempts Per Game 25.8 9th

In short, the Utah defense doesn't let you pass the ball, forces incompletions, and keeps yardage low. With Kaidon Salter averaging 15 completions per game in conference play this year, 174.5 yards may be a hard target to hit.

Prop #2: Wayshawn Parker Over 44.5 Rushing Yards

Past results have Wayshawn Parker split on his yardage total, going under in two games and over in two games during conference play. However in winning games, Parker is 2-0 with both of those matchups coming at large spreads in favor of Utah (-13.5 vs WVU, -9.5 vs ASU).

In these games, with over-unders around 45 points, Utah crushed the over (scoring 48 and 42 themselves). A similar total is set on sportsbooks with college football props in the game against Colorado on Saturday (49 points).

Though Parker is part of the three-headed monster (NaQuari Rogers and Devon Dampier), expect him to get a solid 8-12 carries and surpass his total.

Prop #3: Dallen Bentley Over 36.5 Receiving Yards

At 36.5 receiving yards, is this a trap set from Utah CFB sportsbooks? Bentley has beaten this number in four of his last five games (the sixth was 35 yards), and in three of four conference games this season.

While Bentley is averaging 12 yards per catch, all we're asking is for three catches.
