BATON ROUGE, La.LSU is on the cusp of returning to contention after winning their fourth National Championship in 2019 and their odds for the 2025-26 season are indicating just that.

Currently, on college football prop betting sites, LSU is a serious contender to win the National Championship and SEC Championship. Their QB1, Garrett Nussmeier, is one of the favorites to win the Heisman, and the odds on their win total are setting them up for a deep run on the season.

LSU Football Odds 2025-26

  • National Championship: +2000
  • SEC Championship: +1000
  • Win Total: 8.5
  • Garrett Nussmeier Heisman: +900
  • Rickie Collins Heisman: +25000

LSU has won four National Championships with their most recent coming in 2019 where they opened with +2500 odds in the preseason. They’ve failed to make the playoffs in each of the five years since. This is their second consecutive year opening with exactly +2000 odds to win the National Championship.

Moving on to their SEC Championship odds, LSU has the fourth most conference titles in history with 12. Their most recent came in 2011 and 2019 with +400 and +1200 odds respectively. Their last SEC Championship game appearance was in 2022 where they lost to Georgia. Their +1000 preseason odds is their highest starting point in the last three seasons as they’ve opened under +1000 in the last two years.

Unfortunately for LSU, they haven’t had much luck with their regular season win totals in recent seasons. They’ve stayed under their projected regular season win total in three of the last four seasons and are coming off of an 8-win season. They’ve gone up against exactly an 8.5 win total three times since 2009 and are 1-2 going over on Louisiana sports betting sites.
