SALT LAKE CITY – With two college football chase games this weekend, the betting action doesn’t have to stop at primetime. Here are the best bets for the Hawaii and San Jose State game as well as predictions for the Utah vs Cincy game.
Hawaii Team Total Under 27.5
Hawaii has scored 31, 44, and 44 points in their last three games but sportsbooks with CFB props have set their total at 27.5 vs SJSU. As Mountain West opponents, these two are used to each other.
Over the last three matchups, Hawaii has scored 0, 13, and 13 against San Jose State. With the total decreasing over the last three meetings (63, 58.5, 57.5), the over-under for this year is 56.5 points.
Lamar Radcliffe Anytime TD +120
With 35 rushing attempts over his last three games, Radcliffe has been averaging nearly five yards a carry. While he hasn't scored a (rushing) touchdown in that span, his first TD came on his only catch of the year last week.
Though the Spartans run the ball at the lowest rate in college football at 35.2% of the time, a 1.5-point spread in favor of SJSU could see them attack the ground a little harder if they get the lead early.
Devon Dampier Under 48.5 Rushing Yards
With double-digit carries in six of seven games this season, Dampier has been no stranger to the ground game. At 48.5 yards, this is a number he's only hit four times but has done so in both of his last two games.
The websites to bet on college football in Utah may have set this line a little high. With Cincinnati's average rush defense, he's in line to be effective, but parlaying the -190 odds on Dampier to score a touchdown may be a better situation for bettors.
Joe Royer Over 27.5 Receiving Yards
Joe Royer has been utilized consistently throughout the entire season for Cincinnati. Racking up 10 receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns during the first four games, he's totaled 12 receptions for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the last four.
Utah's passing defense is elite, but the Bearcats are expected to be down early (+250 odds to win the first half). Look to bet on college football props in Ohio surrounding Royer, as it would only take two or three catches to hit this number.
