This Miami pass game is one of, if not the best in college football. The Canes have turned in a 3,800+ yard QB in each of the last two seasons with Cam Ward (4,313) and Carson Beck (3,813). Several analysts and college football insiders around the country often deem him an even better talent than both Ward and Beck.
Coming into this season, Miami’s offense could explode beyond the 253.4 pass yards per game last season. At Duke last season, Mensah led the ACC and was top-15 in pass yards per game with 285.4 yards.
Miami also made some of the biggest additions at wide receiver through the transfer portal this offseason in Cooper Barkate who followed Mensah from Duke, along with Vandrevius Jacobs from South Carolina. Barkate is coming off a 1,106-yard season while Jacobs put up 548 yards. The Canes receiving core is still led by Malachi Toney, who finished top-5 in the country last year as a true freshman with 1,211 yards.
