Sacramento State gets a tough go-around on the road for its first FBS game and plays an experienced Eastern Michigan roster. Sac State comes into this one with eight new starters on offense and seven on defense. One of the strongest selling points in oddsmakers’ decision to list them as more than a touchdown underdog on California sportsbooks. Last season, the Hornets went 8-5 with three losses coming by more than a touchdown margin.
As for Eastern Michigan, they return a more experienced roster led by senior Noah Kim who’s coming off a 2,817-yard, 18-TD season and also sees two of his top-5 receivers from last season return as well. That includes leading receiver, Nick Devereaux.
