For Florida State, they’ve looked extremely disappointing through their 1-1 start to the season. They managed just a 31-14 win against New Mexico State after going in as 30+ point favorites in Week 0. They followed that up with a Week 1 loss to SMU despite leading the turnover margin at +4. SMU became the first team in over 30 years to win a game despite a -4 turnover margin.
Alabama put up over 300 yards in Week 2, holding the time of possession and converting 5/11 third downs. An area that Florida State struggled in, as they allowed SMU to go 8/14 on third downs.
