TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Trouble in Titletown? This is a make or break year for the Alabama Crimson Tide with Kalen DeBoer on “thin ice” with a 20-8 record heading into his third year in Tuscaloosa.
Not only are the fans after DeBoer, but college football prop betting sites are starting to fade the 18-time National Champions.

Following Alabama’s loss in the college football playoff quarterfinal, the Crimson Tide come into the 2026-27 season with their longest National Championship and SEC Championship odds in recent history. The 8.5-win total on Alabama sportsbooks is also the lowest win total since the 2008 season.
If Bama does not make a deep run this season, the athletic department may look in another direction from DeBoer. He has the odds stacked against him as well with an ongoing QB battle between Austin Mack and Keelon Russell just a month out from the season. Neither has started a season before. They also face an injury scare to 4-Star transfer receiver, Noah Rogers.
For the Tide to see success this season, not only do they need to pick a QB, but Ryan Coleman-Williams needs a bounce back year. Coleman-Williams saw 689 yards and four TDs last season. A significant drop from his 865 yards, eight touchdown his freshman season.
The schedule is also not too friendly with a road game at a new-look Kentucky team, Florida State who upset them last year, Georgia, Texas A&M, and on the road at LSU. All games that could go either way.
