- Notre Dame’s over 11.5 wins pays +165 at Bovada, a price that cashes only at an undefeated 12-0 record.
- Ohio State is the +600 national title favorite but carries a 9.5 win total, a full win below Oregon.
- Texas Tech’s over 10.5 costs -240 at Bovada, the priciest over on the board.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Five teams carry double-digit college football win totals at Bovada, and the juice on the over says far more than the number does. Notre Dame’s over 11.5 regular-season wins pays +165 odds, the highest number on the college football win totals board and the only one that cashes solely on a 12-0 season.
Notre Dame’s 11.5 Only Cashes At 12-0
Notre Dame plays 12 regular-season games and no conference championship game, so the over needs an unbeaten fall. Bovada pays +165 on it and takes -220 on the under. Those prices imply about 38 percent and 69 percent, and no other over among the double-digit totals implies a figure that low.
The schedule is why the total sits that high. The Irish open Sept. 6 against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field, then take six of the remaining 11 at home against Rice, Michigan State, Stanford, Miami, Boston College and SMU. The rest is travel, to Purdue, North Carolina, BYU and Syracuse, with Navy in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Only three of those 12 games project as real tests.
Thin does not mean free, and this is where a win total stops behaving like a season preview. Nine games won at a generous 95 percent apiece is already only a 63 percent proposition before the three hard ones are added. Whether Notre Dame’s true chance of a perfect record beats the 38 percent the price implies is the whole bet, and the compounding runs against the over.
Ohio State’s 9.5 Is A Schedule Number, Not A Doubt
Ohio State is +600 at Bovada to win the national title, the shortest price in the country, and its win total is 9.5 games. The same book has Ohio State favored to win its first Big Ten title in five years at +190. Oregon and Indiana are both priced longer to win it all and both sit at 10.5 wins.
That gap is road work. Ohio State’s 2026 schedule sends it to Texas, Iowa, Indiana, USC and Nebraska and brings Oregon and Michigan to Columbus. Over 9.5 wins costs -170, a price that implies about 63 percent that the Buckeyes reach 10 wins.
Nothing in that number argues the roster is worse than the title price says. It argues the calendar is harder, which is exactly the split a win total is built to express and a title price is not.
Texas Tech’s -240 Over Is The Board’s Priciest Opinion
Texas Tech’s win total is 10.5 games with the over at -240 and the under at +175, an implied 71 percent that the Red Raiders win at least 11 of 12. No other team asks that much for an over, and the half-win is doing less work than the price attached to it.
The roster underneath the number is the question. Texas Tech opens the season without Brendan Sorsby, and coach Joey McGuire named redshirt sophomore Will Hammond his likely Week 1 starter at Big 12 Media Days this month. Bovada also has Texas Tech at -105 to win a 16-team Big 12 and +2500 to win the national title.
A team the same book rates a 25-1 title shot is being asked to go 11-1 at a 70 percent price. That is a number priced off last season’s reputation rather than off the quarterback who will take the first snap.
Power 4 Top CFB Win Totals
Among the Power Four conferences and the independents, nine teams sit at 9.5 wins or better. The board below pairs each total with the team’s national title price, one of several season-long markets on the college football props menu.

Indiana Is The Only Double-Digit Total Without A Lean
Indiana is 10.5 with the over at -120 and the under at -110, the flattest two-way price among the five teams carrying double-digit numbers. The defending national champion is the one team on that tier CFB sportsbooks have no position on, and it hosts Ohio State on Oct. 17.
The contrast at the other end of the same tier is Penn State at 9.5, where the under is -200 and the over +150. That is a 67 percent implied read against a program that has +12500 odds to win the national title, the longest number among the Big Ten teams with a total of 9.5 or better.
Every Two-Way Price Carries About Six To Seven Percent
Add the over and the under on any of these teams and the implied probabilities total between 106 and 107 percent. Notre Dame’s pair sums to about 106.5, Indiana’s to about 106.9, Texas Tech’s to about 107. That surplus is the book’s cut, and it is the reason a win total played to break even has to clear more than a coin flip.
It is also a far cheaper tax than the college football futures board, where Bovada’s 23 shortest national title prices summed to about 117 percent on the same July 15 pull. A win total is the season-long market that carries a two-sided price, so the over and the under can be read against each other before a cent goes down.
