MIAMI – Has the time finally come? Is the U really back? That’s what oddsmakers are saying as the Miami Hurricanes top all other teams in the ACC as heavy favorites to win their first ACC Championship in program history.
Currently on college football prop betting sites, Miami is listed as a massive -140 favorite and the only team in the conference with odds listed under +700 to win the conference title. They are also the heaviest favorite among all other Power 4 conferences.

The Canes seem to have finally got it together after their run to the National Championship game last season, and they have plenty of momentum going into next season. They have the 16th overall transfer portal class highlighted by QB Darian Mensah, WR Cooper Barkate, and edge rusher Damon Wilson.
Not to mention they’re also working with the eighth-ranked 2026 recruiting class featuring the number one overall player in the cycle, OT Jackson Cantwell.
While the talent is certainly there supporting Miami’s ACC Championship odds on Florida sportsbooks, this has the potential to be one of the least competitive years in the conference in recent history. Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and other usual contenders are not living up to their potential.
Can Anyone Else Contend?
Both SMU and Louisville have their odds set accordingly, as they could potentially give the Canes a run for their money. Both of them have been competitive in the conference in recent seasons and were the only two teams to beat Miami last year.
At the helm for SMU is senior QB Kevin Jennings, who threw for over 3,200 yards and 23+ touchdowns in the Mustangs first two seasons in the ACC. They’ve kept their core offense intact while drastically adding to their defense to the tune of potentially seven new starters.
As for Louisville, star running back Isaac Brown remained committed to the program while they added the third-ranked portal class around him, including QB Lincoln Kienholz from Ohio State and six other four-star transfer players.
