TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 2026-27 college football season is around the corner, and odds are popping up on different teams to make it to the college football playoff. Some teams have better odds of making it than others, while others provide value as an underdog.
As things currently sit on college football prop betting sites, we see four teams with plus money odds to make the CFP to consider backing for a decent return.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama to make the CFP
- Yes +140
- No -185
Starting with Alabama, they are coming off a college football playoff appearance where they were eliminated in the quarterfinal. They haven’t made much change through the portal; however, they did add the sixth-ranked recruiting class. They also have a QB battle on their hands with two former elite high school prospects in Austin Mack and Keelon Russell.
LSU Tigers
LSU to make the CFP
- Yes +145
- No -190
LSU invested a reported $40 million into their football roster this season, with roughly 40 transfer portal signings made up of 13 4-star or higher players. With Lane Kiffin on the sideline and notorious for rebuilding teams, it’s hard to see, with this kind of investment, LSU not going far this season.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan to make the CFP
- Yes +245
- No -350
Michigan made a splash in the offseason by hiring former Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham, who is coming off a 10-2 season last year. The Wolverines are coming off a 9-4 season and their second consecutive season of not making the playoffs since winning the 2024 National Championship.
They have a top-15 recruiting class coming in, made up of top-30 positional talent across the board, including 5-Star running back, Savion Hiter, who is expected to carve out a role in the backfield right away.
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss to make the CFP
- Yes +165
- No -220
Fresh off a 31-27 college football playoff semifinal loss and losing Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss finds itself as an underdog to make it back to the CFP. What’s eye-opening about these odds on college football sportsbooks is that the Rebels were able to retain most of their offensive star power from last season. Most notably, QB Trinidad Chambliss and RB Kewan Lacy.
They’ve also been active in the transfer portal on defense, signing seven new starters for 13 total players on that side of the ball.
